There are no specific course requirements, although experiences and coursework are recommended in social and behavioral sciences, mathematics, chemistry and physics, biology, laboratory or field experiments, and communication. 
• International students should have studied for a minimum of one academic year at an accredited university or college in Canada, the United States, or the United Kingdom before applying. 
• A minimum of one MCAT result from an examination taken post January 2020 and prior to September 10, 2023, should be included in the application for the 2024 admissions cycle.

Scholarships

Stanford institutional scholarships and loan resources are only awarded on the basis of student requirements. Merit-based scholarships are not offered. The University Graduate Housing Loan helps with security deposits and other costs. There is an Emergency Grant-in-Aid for sudden expenditure or financial emergencies. The Family Grant is also available for all graduate students. 

There is also the Knight-Hennessy Scholars program that offers funding to graduate students who join while enrolling in graduate degree programs.
