A permit must be issued for the job, and the employer must follow the required process. Some occupations are not eligible. There aren't all general occupations available for this programme. Review the latest employment permit procedures prior to making an offer.
Stay Back After Study: Stamp 1G
Eligible international graduates can apply for a post-study work visa in Ireland, known as Stamp 1G under the Third Level Graduate Programme. It allows them to stay in Ireland and look for suitable employment after completing an eligible qualification.
The stay-back period depends on the qualification:
Level 8 graduates: Eligible graduates can get up to 12 months under the programme.
Level 9 or higher graduates: Eligible masters and higher-level graduates may get up to 24 months. The permission is normally granted for 12 months first, with a further 12 months subject to the programme's conditions.
Graduates on Stamp 1G can work full-time without a separate employment permit. They cannot use this permission to run a business or work as self-employed people.
