More About De Montfort University

Infrastructure

The De Montfort University has had its GBP 136 million university campus revamped extensively over the years, and now contains the Heritage Centre, QEII Leisure Centre, and other accompanying infrastructure. There are DMU Labs that enable secure access towards all available resources along with an innovative research strategy that will highlight the institution’s research goals. It is also the only university in the UK to be designated as the UN Global Hub for Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 16.

Academic

The admission intakes are 1st April, 1st October, and 1st January. The deadlines are 1st February, 1st August and 1st November respectively.

The De Montfort University admission process encompasses the following steps:

1. Download and fills up the international application form.

2. Submit copies of academic qualifications, English language proficiency, personal statement, passport, reference, and your portfolio if required.

3. You have to return the application and the documents to the Admissions Office.

4. You can also apply via UCAS.

The De Montfort University admission requirements are the following:

1. Undergraduate aspirants require 65% as the minimum average in the best four subjects in Class XII. Class X results in mathematics and English may also be evaluated.

2. Minimum English language scores are 6.0-7.5 in IELTS depending on the course.

3. Postgraduate applicants should get 50-60% in their bachelor’s courses along with scoring 6-6.5 in IELTS depending on the course.

The De Montfort University acceptance rate is 63%. The university has more than 300 courses spanning the postgraduate, foundation, and undergraduate levels of study. Some of its popular courses include accounting and finance, biomedical science, footwear design, and fashion courses like performance sportswear, swimwear, underwear, and body-wear.
