Infrastructure of Teesside University

The university has invested more than £275 million in its sprawling Middlesborough campus which also contains a dedicated Student Life Building with all amenities. The University also has a vast on-campus library along with Orion and Stephenson, which offer cutting-edge research equipment including the flight simulation laboratory, full-size aircraft for testing and more. 

Phoenix is the dedicated sound and video production unit while Waterhouse has the textile and fashion studios. Athena is home to several studios and laboratories in the multimedia space while Centuria and Centuria South have cutting-edge facilities and laboratories with specialist simulation environments and equipment. The language of instruction is English. 

Admissions at Teesside University

The admission cycle has 31st July as the deadline for courses beginning in September of the year. 

The Teesside University admission process involves these aspects: 

  • International applicants may complete the application form online. 
  • If they receive offers, then they have to register their applications at UCAS. 
  • They can start applying in the month of September in the year prior to their chosen starting date. The UCAS closing date was 26th January in 2022. 
  • Confirmation will come via UCAS or directly from the institution. 
  • You may have to undergo an open day or interview before the final offer. 

Admission Requirements for Teesside University

The Teesside University admission requirements include the following: 

  • For UG programs, they require 65% in Standard XII from all the state boards. 
  • For postgraduate courses, they require 5.8/10 as their CGPA or 55% from an Indian university in their undergraduate programs. They should have 50% or 5.5 out of 10 as their CGPA (minimum) if applying from the Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata, Pune or Jadavpur Universities. 
  • There are English language requirements to be met as well.

The university has been ranked number 1 out of 96 global institutions for overall satisfaction as part of the International Student Barometer Survey 2021. It has partnerships throughout Asia, Europe and the Middle East. It also has offices in India, China, Malaysia and other countries. The institution has students from 107 global nations, including 2,200+ students in the last three academic sessions from South Asia. 

The Students’ Union is the main representative organisation and it also runs The Hub building which has social areas, a store, eateries, support services, a bar and a job service. There are numerous societies involving both cultural and sporting interests. The institution also has its own health sciences and sports building along with the Olympia sports complex which comes with a hall for 500 spectators. Other amenities include exercise laboratories, a floodlit artificial turf, a temperature-controlled environmental chamber, sporting pitches, a white-water rafting course and more! The institution also offers the Saltersgill Sports Ground sprawling over 60 acres along with snooker, swimming, watersports and tennis facilities.
