Academics

Nottingham Trent University admission process for undergraduate courses goes live in the fall season. Similarly, the process can be completed twice a year for postgraduate studies, i.e., in the fall and winter. The deadline for European and international students is around mid-January and late June, respectively. 

For securing admission to NTU UK, you can follow the steps below:

1. Select the course you want to study and apply via the UCAS (Universities and Colleges Admissions Service) portal. You can also use the top right button on the course page on NTU UK’s official website. 

2. Check for any crucial emails received from @ntu.ac.uk and @ucas.com. 

3. You can track the progress of your application from the UCAS portal. The usual duration is 14 days. 

4. You will then receive these three offers: unconditional, conditional, or alternative offer. 

5. Finally, you can check the A-level results after the declaration day.

Nottingham Trent University admission requirements are as follows:

1. If your first language is not English then you will have to submit an IELTS score. For some departments, a score of 6.0 with a minimum of 5.5 in each section is acceptable. However, for other departments, the score range might be increased to 6.5 or even 7.0. 

2. As an alternative to IELTS, NTU also accepts tests like TOEFL, iBT, KITE, IGCSE, GCSE, etc., with a score equivalent to 6.5 bands in IELTS. 

3. If you are an Indian student, you will have to submit a higher secondary certificate (XIIth) with a minimum grade average of 65% from 4 subjects for admission in bachelor courses. Similarly, for postgraduate courses, you must hold a 3 or 4-year bachelor’s degree with a minimum 60% or 55% score based on the University. 

4. For Ph.D. research, you need a master’s degree with a minimum 60% grade from any recognized university in the nation.
