“Two months ago, I said that by the end of this year, we aim to turn around visit visas from India to the UK within our standard time of 15 working days. The great news is the team has achieved that through fantastic work here in Delhi and across the whole visa network,” British High Commissioner to India Alex Ellis said, in a video message, on Friday.

He also mentioned that the UK has a high intake of student visas for the January 2023 session.

The UK officials also claimed that the number of students from India in 2022 has increased by 89% compared to last year and that skilled worker visas are also being processed quickly.

Students who wish to apply for short-term courses in the UK can apply for a visitor visa that may last up to 12 months. Moreover, the fee for a Standard Visitor visa of up to 6 months is £100.

Indians travelling to the UK can also avail of the priority visa option, which has a turnaround time of five days.
