A graduate of the University Department of Chemical Technology, Narotam Sekhsaria was the promoter of Gujarat Ambuja Cements while setting up this foundation in 2002 for initiatives in areas like education, health, and employment.

Eligibility for Narotam Sekhsaria Scholarships

Candidates applying for the Narotam Sekhsaria Scholarships should have a good academic record. Moreover, there are certain criteria that students need to fulfil to be eligible for the scholarship program. 

Here’s a list of the requirements:

• Applicants should be citizens of India.
• Residing in India at the time of application.
• The candidate should be below 30 years as of 31st January of the year applying. 
• They should have graduated from a recognized university in India. Those in their final years or waiting for their results will also have eligibility for applying. 
• Students who wish to pursue a Master’s or PhD degree at top-ranking institutions in the Fall semester. 
• Students who have applied and waiting for their acceptance are also eligible to apply, but the award of a scholarship is subject to securing admission.

How can you Apply for Narotam Sekhsaria Scholarships? 

If you are aiming to receive the Narotam Sekhsarai Scholarship, find the steps to apply below: 

1. Visit the official website and register yourself. 
2. Log in using the username and password created during the registration process.
3. Pay a fee of ₹500 to access the application form. 
4. Fill in Part 1, 2, and 3 of the application form. An email confirmation will be sent to your registered mail address. 
5. Applicants shortlisted for round 2 will be asked to submit the required documents. 
6. Selected students are required to attend interviews, usually scheduled between April and June. 
7. Students who feature in the final list of selected candidates mandatorily need to attend the Orientation Programme, which is usually held in July. 

Narotam Sekhsaria Scholarship 2022-23 – Important Dates

Applications are closed for 2022. Applicants are advised to check the official website regularly to know when the entries open next year. The Narotam Sekhsaria Scholarship Programme applications usually open in the first week of January. The submissions usually close in March. 

The entries opened on 5 January and closed on March 20 this year.

Selection Criteria for Narotam Sekhsaria scholarships

The selection of candidates who are offered Narotam Sekhsaria Scholarships takes place between March and April. The evaluation of the applicants is done by the Narotam Sekhsaria Foundation. 

If a candidate is shortlisted for the next round based on their merits. Candidates will have to upload all other vital documents. Then they will be called for an interview session during May-June if you are successful in clearing the earlier stage. After that, selected scholars have to go through the Orientation Programme, which requires compulsory attendance.

Candidates selected for the scholarships will be notified by the end of June.
