This university is founded by the Sisters of Mercy. This university is focused on women and committed to the core values of integrity, respect, service and compassion. According to US News this university is ranked 101 out of 181 Regional Universities North. 

Accreditation 

This university is accredited by The Middle State Commission on Higher Education. The additional accreditations and approvals are done by some other regional accreditation agencies. The Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education gives accreditation to the B.S.N (nursing) Programme. Bachelor of social work programme is accredited by Council on Social Work Education Commission on Accreditation. CACREP, NASP, ACBSP,CAEP,IACS are some other accreditation agencies. Georgian Court University follows a selective admission process. The university has an acceptance rate of 80%. Half of the applicants admitted to GCU have an ACT score of 22 and 27 or an SAT score between 980 and 1175.  On the other hand one quarter of the applicants get admission achieved scores above these ranges and one quarter below these ranges.
