Step 1: Prepare Required Documents: Make sure you have all the required documents for your application ready. These typically include:

• Academic Transcripts

• English language certificate or Medium of Instruction certificate

Step 2: Complete Your Application

• Visit the IBS Application page and click the ‘Become an Applicant’ button.
• Your login will appear instantly, and you’ll also receive it via email. Keep this login safe as you’ll need it for future reference.
• Choose your program and intake (please remember that you can only apply for one program at a time).
• Fill in the application form and upload all required documents.
• Pay attention to the ‘Checklist tasks’ and complete them to ensure your application is valid.
• Submit your application.
• IBS will contact you with information about the EUR 100 (approximately INR 9,900) non-refundable application fee. 

Step 3: Document Review and Confirmation: IBS will review the documents you have submitted. If everything is in order, you will receive a Confirmation of Application, which includes:

• Enrollment details
• Refund policy
• Invoice for University Foundation and BSc applicants
• For MSc applicants, there will be an online Orientation Interview first, after which they’ll receive the Confirmation of Application if accepted.

Step 4: Pay Tuition Fees: After receiving confirmation from IBS, proceed with the payment of tuition fees. You can pay the fees via:

• Bank transfer
• Credit/debit card through Flywire (this mode of payment lets you pay with a minimal transaction fee and in your currency)

Step 5: Receive Visa Support Certificate: After IBS receives your tuition and registration fees, you will get a Visa Support Certificate and a Letter. These documents will be sent to you through the online application system. 

Step 6: Apply for a Visa: Reach out to the nearest Hungarian Consulate to schedule a visa interview. 

Step 7: Visa Status Notification

• If your visa is granted, inform IBS immediately.
• If your visa is refused, send the official refusal to IBS as soon as possible. You have 8 days to appeal the decision if you wish to do so. In the event of a refund, please refer to the Refund Policy on the IBS website.

Step 8: Final Enrollment Preparation: Once your visa is approved, you need to bring the following documents with you for your enrollment in Budapest:

• Original documents
• 2 ID photos

Key Visa requirements: For the visa application, the Hungarian Consulate requires the following:

• Original school and ID documents
• Proof of financial support (EUR 8,000 (INR 7.9L) for one year’s stay)
• If parents are sponsoring, proof of relationship (birth certificates)
