More About University of Windsor

University of Windsor, Canada, was incorporated in the year 1963 by the Ontario Legislature admitting the Assumption University in the federation which was established way back in 1857. In 1919, Assumption College in Windsor affiliated with the University of Western Ontario. In 1953, through an Act of the Ontario Legislature, Assumption College received its own university powers and in 1956 it changed its name to University of Windsor.

The university has a 51-hectares (125 acres) campus in Windsor, Ontario. The campus is a 10-minute drive from downtown Windsor. It is an international and multi-discipline-oriented institution in which a broad diversity of students are enrolled.

About Education

The campus has more than 190 undergraduate and graduate programs which enrol nearly 16000 students. University's mission is to make the world a better place through research, scholarship programs, and engagement. The number of faculties is 524, forming a student-faculty ratio of 26:1.
