The Highlander Distinction Programme is a four-year, renewable scholarship programme created to lower the cost of attending Radford University.  The programme started in the 2020–2021 award year and gave new freshmen at Radford University $2.8 million.  If the student continues to fulfill the requirements for renewal, these scholarships may be extended for up to eight consecutive semesters.

Radford University Scholarships:

• Scholarship in Red & White: It is a four-year renewable scholarship programme that was given to students who began in the Fall of 2017 through the Fall of 2019.  Only students who were given the scholarship at the time they applied to attend Radford University are currently eligible to renew this scholarship programme.
• Academic Excellence Scholarship: This scholarship, which is available to students who began in the autumn of 2017 and continue through the autumn of 2019, is renewable for four years.  
• Transfer Excellence Scholarship: The scholarship opportunity mentioned is specifically designed for transfer students who have consistently demonstrated strong academic performance throughout their college education. To be eligible for this scholarship, transfer applicants must have maintained good academic standards in all the college courses they have undertaken. Additionally, they are required to have completed a minimum of 30 hours of college-level coursework. 

Phi Theta Kappa Scholarship: Transfer students who are Phi Theta Kappa members and who have consistently achieved excellent academic standards while enrolled in college will be given consideration for this scholarship.  A minimum of 30 hours of college-level work must have been completed by applicants.
