The U.S Secretary of Education and Council for Higher Education Accreditation has recognised this institutional accrediting agency. With an urban setting, Morgan State University has a campus size of 175 acres. In the 21st century, two garages have been constructed in the university campus, along with the Dixon Research Centre, and the Earl S. Richardson Library. The Centre for Built Environment and Infrastructure Studies building and the Communications Buildings are located in the far north of university campus along with two parking garages, and is linked by a Communications Bridge over Herring Run.
