Capella University is committed to supporting its students through various scholarship opportunities. These scholarships are designed to alleviate the financial burden of pursuing higher education. Capella Progress Rewards scholarships are available to new and returning students and alumni and are not need-based. The university awards a $15,000 bachelor's scholarship, $2,500 for master’s, $5,000 for doctoral, and $1,000 for certificate. The eligible areas of study include business, health care administration, nursing, psychology, information technology, and public health. 

The university also awards a Student/Alumni Referral Scholarship. Under it, new or returning students may qualify for 20% off their first session in FlexPath or $500 off their GuidedPath tuition when a current student or graduate of Capella refers them. However, they must meet the eligibility requirements. The Capella Legacy Scholarship honors the contribution of faculty and staff and is available to currently enrolled students. International scholarships for non-U.S. citizens are offered to students enrolled in specific undergraduate and graduate degree programs. The university offers other ways to reduce tuition, such as transfer credits, no-cost gen ed, military benefits, and disability support.
