The University of Tasmania, a public research university in Hobart, Australia, is one of the biggest academic, creative, and collaborative hubs for talented students and academics. It is ranked at 293 in the QS World University Rankings list for 2023, while notching up the 301-350th ranking in the THE World University Rankings tally in 2022. The journey of the institution started 130 years earlier in a building that looked onto Hobart. 

There were only eleven students and three lecturers at the time of its inception in 1890. The institution celebrated 125 years in 2015. The accreditations for the institution include CRICOS and AACSB. The institution has 2,500+ staff members with 31,000+ undergraduate students, 7000+ international students, and 600+ postgraduate learners. 

There are three campuses in Tasmania, namely Hobart, Burnie, and Launceston. There are three centres in Sydney at Darlinghurst, Rozelle, and Darling Harbour. The university has 20+ research centres and institutions, including the Menzies Institute for Medical Research, Tasmanian Institute of Agriculture, Institute for Marine and Antarctic Studies, Centre for Ore Deposit and Earth Sciences, and the Australian Centre for Research on Separation Science. 

The institution offers undergraduate, research, and postgraduate programs, along with online and short courses. Students can find graduate, casual, and part-time employment here, along with getting help in developing their resume, finding student job opportunities, taking mock interview, participating in workshops and career events, and volunteering. I-PREP offers student internships, while there are support solutions for building resumes as well.
