Following are the requirements to apply for admission at Sam Houston State University:

Visit the official website of the University and fill the application form by paying $50. You can also apply for a deduction in an online application. In that case, you should send an email to the SHSU Admission Office requesting for the deduction. However, you should meet the requirements and submit the following documents- college Board Waiver Form, ACT Waiver Form, or a Letter from the HS Counselor or the principal.

After filling the application form, you need to submit your academic documents to the SHSU Admission Office. Or, you can request your previous organization to digitally send your academic records to the admission office. 

Lastly, you should submit the results of the English proficiency Tests like IELTS.

Exam Requirements for Sam Houston State University

• American College Testing- To test your knowledge and skills, you are evaluated on 5 subjects- English, Mathematics, Reading, Composite, Science, etc. There are around 215 questions in total. Your score should be in the range mentioned below:

• Honors Scholarship- The main intent of this program is to offer academic guidance which is helpful in the candidates’ personal and professional growth.  The candidates are required to take part in a virtual interview through the Zoom App. Incoming Freshman are motivated to enroll themselves in a Honors College and take the ACT or SAT Test.
