An applicant will be eligible for UCAS Extra if they submitted a maximum of five applications through UCAS but were unsuccessful in getting a spot or rejected every offer. Following are the admission procedures in Liverpool John Moores University:
- Submitting the application form: Once an applicant submits their application through UCAS, all of their top university selections will receive it for review. LJMU strives to evaluate each application as fast and effectively as possible after receiving it.
- Applicant events: The University will invite applicants to a faculty-based open day, interview, or audition once an offer has been issued. At these events, candidates can interact with current faculty and students, tour LJMU facilities, and learn more about student housing and funding.
- The offer process: If you meet the entrance requirements at the time of application, such as being a mature student or having all your qualifications, you will be given an unconditional offer. If you have not taken your exams yet or are awaiting results, a conditional offer will be offered; the offer will be contingent upon meeting certain academic standards or other requirements.
- Receiving the result: If applicants satisfy the requirements of their firm choice (CF), they will be admitted without having to apply. If the terms of the offer are not met, applicants could still be offered a spot on the program of their choice or a different one, which they can accept or reject.

Exam Requirements for Liverpool John Moores University
Following are the exam requirements for LJMU:
Undergraduate:
A high school diploma with a minimum grade point average of 3.0 and one of the following is required for applicants:
- An ACT score of 26 or
- A minimum SAT score of 1200, with 600 in Math and 600 in evidence-based Reading and Writing.
- Three AP tests with a score of 3 in each.
As long as a total of three subjects are covered, AP and SAT subject tests can be substituted for one another.
The University may take into account good academic performance in AP or Honours subjects as listed on the high school transcript of applicants in cases where standardized examinations are not available. Each applicant will be evaluated individually.
Postgraduate:
- Applicants need a Bachelor's Degree of 4 years with a minimum score of 2.5/4.0, or 3.0/4.0 in CGPA.
- For SCS Program, a score of 3.3 in GPA is needed, for programs with a requirement of 2:1.
International Students:
- A score of 6.0 in IELTS
- An overall score of 78 in TOEFL IBT
- An overall score of 78 in TOEFL IBT Home Edition
- A minimum of Grade C in Cambridge CPE
- A minimum of Grade C in Cambridge CAE
