At SUNY Plattsburgh, on-campus housing offers students a secure setting in which to address their social and academic needs. To live on campus, a student must have completed all required vaccinations. 85% of first-year students reside in housing with an FY theme, such as Moffitt, Whiteface, Wilson, or mixed-age complexes.

By forming groups, students can choose the sophomore and junior housing of their choosing depending on the topic. After making a $250 USD admission deposit through the housing site, incoming freshmen can submit an application for housing.
