First-Year Merit Scholarships

"Free Tuition Plus" Scholarships

"Free Tuition Plus" Scholarships offer qualified students to think about a tuition-free future through the Excelsior Scholarship program of New York State, with the additional help of Oswego's First-Year Merit Scholarships for top students. Those who might be eligible for an Excelsior Scholarship will be designated as "Free Tuition Plus" scholars. ROTC

In exchange for serving in the military after graduation, students participating in ROTC can obtain a competitive, merit-based scholarship that pays all or a portion of their college tuition. While enrolled in college courses, ROTC candidates receive officer and basic military training from the college's ROTC unit for their chosen branch of service.
