Refunds will not be entertained after the cohort starts , even if: You’ve not completed your full payment, Or you haven't started the course. EMI payments (if any) will continue as scheduled and cannot be cancelled . Any loan cancellation charges will be the responsibility of the student. The full fee must be paid within 7 days of paying the caution money or before the cohort start date , whichever is earlier. Otherwise, your admission may be cancelled. All refunds will be processed within 30 working days from the cohort commencement date, subject to approval by the Academic Committee.

Are there any bank processing fees or down payments involved?

Yes, some banks may charge a nominal processing fee between ₹99 to ₹500, billed in the first EMI installment.

Which banks offer 0% Credit Card EMI for program fees?

No Cost EMI is available on credit cards from all major banks including HDFC, ICICI, SBI, Axis, Kotak, IndusInd, RBL, Bank of Baroda, Yes Bank, Citibank, Standard Chartered, HSBC, and American Express.

Is there a minimum transaction amount to avail 0% EMI?

Yes, the minimum transaction amount to be eligible for No Cost EMI is ₹50,000.

Does Standard Chartered offer 18- or 24-month No Cost EMI?

No, Standard Chartered provides only a 12-month No Cost EMI option, regardless of the enrolled program.

Will I have to pay extra for an EMI transaction?

upGrad doesn’t charge any processing fees or down payment for 0% Credit Card EMI. However, your bank may levy GST or other charges on the interest component.

Can I use an international credit card for EMI?

No, only Indian bank credit cards are eligible for No Cost EMI. However, you can use an international credit card to make a full or part payment and later convert the amount into EMI via your issuing bank. upGrad does not charge anything extra in such cases.

What happens if I cancel or request a refund after opting for No Cost EMI?

You’ll only be refunded the principal amount , i.e., the amount deducted or blocked from your card. Any interest paid by upGrad to the bank will be deducted as per the refund policy outlined in your offer letter.

Can I pay using multiple credit cards?

Yes, you can split the payment using multiple cards (e.g., ₹1,00,000 via HDFC and ₹50,000 via ICICI). Just make sure each transaction meets the ₹50,000 minimum to qualify for 0% EMI.

What if my credit card bank isn't listed for 0% EMI?

You can still pay using your credit card in full or in parts and then convert it into EMI with your bank. The terms and interest rates will be decided by your bank. upGrad will not charge any additional fees.

Why does the full amount show as blocked on my credit card?

Initially, your full course fee will be blocked against your card’s limit. As you pay each EMI, the blocked amount will reduce accordingly. For example, after paying the first EMI of ₹15,000 on a ₹1,00,000 transaction, only ₹85,000 remains blocked.

Why is interest being charged on No Cost EMI?

Your bank does charge interest, but upGrad provides you an upfront discount equal to that interest—making your EMI effectively interest-free. Example: Total payable: ₹4,05,000 Amount deducted: ₹3,79,850 Bank interest: ~12–15% on ₹3,79,850 EMI = ₹33,750 x 12 = ₹4,05,000. You're effectively paying only what was quoted by upGrad.
