In collaboration with Memorial University of Newfoundland, the University of Prince Edward Island is aiming to open a Faculty of Medicine that will contain a combined Doctor of Medicine degree. 

The University of Prince Edward Island (UPEI) is working with Memorial University as a regional school that offers a Doctor of Medicine degree, while the joint program is being constructed. Candidates will submit applications to Memorial University's Doctor of Medicine program as part of this agreement. 

Students that are accepted will start classes at the UPEI Campus in August 2025. Candidates who wish to apply to the Memorial University Faculty of Medicine, UPEI's regional campus, must apply through Prince Edward Island (P.E.I.) Pool and the Memorial University admissions page.
