The international standing compared to all other institutions around the globe in the same time period were pretty competitive. In the Times Higher Education (THE) World University Rankings, Trinity was ranked 134th in the world in 2024, and ranked 139th in the world in 2025. In this context, it is evident that it did move slightly at one point, and that it remained one of the stronger institutions in Ireland.
