IIT Goa has reported positive placement statistics with the overall placement rate for BTech and MTech candidates of 93.85%. According to the Career Development Cell (CDC), of the 110 B.Tech candidates.

The BTech placement program at IIT Goa was designed to create strong connections between undergraduate students and high-quality industry and research opportunities, while minimising any disruption in the students' academics. The Career Development Cell (CDC) provides multiple support systems through internship options, preparation and training activities, and finally by reaching out to the recruiters.
Students were prepared with a wide variety of job profiles, including technology, core engineering, analytics, and consulting. The academic experience at the institute, which consisted of industry-conducive projects and developing good connections with alumni, allowed for easy movement into careers for their BTech students.
Over the 2020–24 BTech cohort (graduating batch 2024), IIT Goa achieved near‑full placement success through strong coordination between CDC and recruiters. Placement rate: 92.73%

The B.Tech salary statistics of IIT Goa presented an upward trend during the period from academic year 2018-19 to academic year 2021-22, as indicated by the fact that in academic year 2022-23, it peaked, before returning to previous long-term levels.
In academic year 2018-22, the mean package was ₹23.40 LPA, while thereafter for academic year 2019-23, the average salary was ₹17.19 LPA, which is a slight decrease given that it was again a competitive year. Median CTCs also reflected the same trends as the means.

Top recruiters include Google, Adobe, Siemens, GE Vernova, ARM, MathWorks, L&T, Accenture Japan, Mentor Graphics, Ecozen Solutions, and Addverb.
