The State Medical Faculty of West Bengal Entrance Examination (SMFWBEE) opens doors to paramedical courses at different government and non-government institutions and medical colleges in West Bengal. Administered by the State Medical Faculty of West Bengal (SMFWB), the exam is conducted annually. 

It enables admission to thirteen diploma courses, including radiotherapeutic technology, radiography, dialysis technique, operation theatre technology, neuro electrophysiology, among others. Successful candidates can pursue these at over 122 medical colleges in West Bengal.

SMFWBEE 2024 Eligibility

The eligibility criteria to apply for SMFWBEE 2024 are explained below:

• The minimum age requirement is 17 years. There is no maximum age limit for participating in the exam.
• You must have passed your 10+2 examination with individual pass marks in physics, chemistry, and biology.
• The qualifying examination board for your high school education must be recognized either by the Government of West Bengal or the Government of India.

SMFWBEE 2024 Registration Process

Please follow the guidelines below to register for the SMFWBEE 2024:

1. Visit https://www.smfwb.in/index.html or https://smfwb.formflix.org/home to apply online for the examination. Please note that only online registrations are accepted.
2. Register yourself with a valid email address and phone number. Ensure these contact details are active as further communications will only be made through these.
3. Fill out the application form with your name, parent’s name, and date of birth. All the information filled out must align with your school admit card, mark sheets, certificates, identity proofs, etc. 
4. After filling out all your personal information, like nationality, religion, address, choice of examination centers, academic details, etc., you will be asked a security question and asked to set your password. 
5. You can review your application at this stage and make the necessary changes.
6. Submit the application. An application number will be communicated via SMS or email. Keep it safe or note it down somewhere, as you will need it in the future.
7. Now, upload the required documents, photographs, and signatures. Some instructions for uploading your photograph and signature are:
   1. It should be a recent colored photograph clicked in a studio setting. Low-quality photos taken from a phone will be rejected.
   2. The background should be of a very light color.
   3. You must look straight into the camera.
   4. Your face must cover at least 50% of the final output. 
   5. Do not wear dark-tinted glasses or spectacles.
   6. This photograph must match your appearance during the exam. You must use this same image at the exam hall, counseling, admission, and registration with the SMFWB.
   7. Both your photograph and signature should be in JPEG format. The size of your photograph should be between 10 and 50 kb and between 10 and 30 kb for your signature. 
8. Finally, pay the application fee to complete the process.

After successfully completing the above procedure, you will be redirected to the ‘Confirmation Page.’ Here, you can download and print the application. The SMFWB will allow you to make changes during the correction period. However, this will remain open for a limited period, and you must complete the necessary steps within that time. 

Documents Required

You must upload the following documents to complete your registration process successfully.

• Attested copies of your original Higher Secondary or equivalent examination mark sheet.
• EWS/SC/ST/OBC-A/OBC-B/PH certificate, if applicable.
• A scanned copy of your photograph.
• A scanned image of your signature.
