NIT Trichy’s recruiters and students favor it because of its industry-aligned curriculum and strong academic rigor. Prominent international corporations frequently come to the campus for placements, including Google, Microsoft, Amazon, Goldman Sachs, Qualcomm, TCS, Infosys, and J.P. Morgan.

In 2023–2024, NIT Trichy produced a strong placement performance, with a UG placement rate of 88.9% overall and notable highs for CSE (96.69%), EEE (92.9%), and ECE (87.7%). On the postgraduate level, some M.Tech programs had 100% placement rates, but MBA placement rates were notably high at 72.8%.

In the same session, the institute also saw an outstanding UG average CSE package of ₹27.17 LPA, a median of ₹26.32 LPA, and the highest package of ₹64 LPA.
