Note: Most academic programs at ISI Kolkata, including M.Stat., M.S. in Quantitative Economics, and M.Tech courses, do not require tuition fees for students. Eligible students also receive a monthly stipend to support their studies and research.  

This policy applies to both domestic and international students for most regular programs, making ISI Kolkata a highly accessible and research-focused institute. 

Throughout the 2022–23 academic year, ISI Kolkata's Placement Cell successfully engaged students from different postgraduate courses, M.Stat, M.S. in Quantitative Economics, and M.Tech, with well-renowned recruiters.

The Indian Statistical Institute (ISI) Kolkata, which was established in 1931, offers undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral study in statistics, mathematics, computer science, and related fields.  

National-level entrance examinations such as ISI Admission Test (ISIAT), GATE, and UGC/CSIR NET will be used for admission, with a number of candidates being called for interviews. Eligible students can also receive stipends and scholarships, and there is no tuition for most programs.
