Dublin City University (DCU) more than confirmed its further enhanced overall performance from 2024 to 2026, as demonstrated in the QS rankings, while robustly maintained its position in the THE rankings and entered the U.S. News global rankings with a precise position in 2026.  

DCU improves year-on-year in the QS World University Rankings, as its rank improves from 436 in 2024, to 421 in 2025, and to 410 in 2026, which indicates a favourable trajectory and consistent position in terms of international recognition and visibility of research outputs.  

As part of the Times Higher Education World University Rankings, DCU ranked consistent with its the previous year when it was ranked within the 401-500 band in 2024; in 2025 it ranked within the 351-400 band, which reflects corresponding improvement in the pillars of performance; the result for 2026 is not available as yet. As for the U.S. News Best Global Universities, DCU was ranked in 856 positions in 2026, demonstrating its specific position within the global cohort.

Dublin City University (DCU) has a solid reputation in terms of its graduates being gainfully employed. This is due to excellent industry links and the reputation of employers. Indeed, DCU is 19th in the QS Graduate Employability Rankings 2020.  A 2020 Graduate Outcomes Survey indicated 97% of graduates were employed.
