NMAT Exam Dates Out; Admission Process & Schedule Updated

Aspiring MBA students, are you keeping track of the critical NMAT exam dates? The Narsee Monjee Aptitude Test (NMAT), conducted by the Graduate Management Admission Council (GMAC), is around the corner. The national-level entrance test is conducted for MBA admission in top institutions such as NMIMS, Amity Business School, ISB-AMPBA, etc.

NMAT Admission Process

The NMAT admission process involves the following steps:

Registration

Candidates need to register for the NMAT exam on the official GMAC website. The registration fee is ₹2,800 plus taxes. If you wish to retake the exam, you must register again, for which the fee remains the same. 

Remember, the NMAT by GMAC registration and the institution application process are separate steps. 

The registration in GMAC consists of the following steps:

1. Click on ‘Register for NMAT by GMAC’ on mba.com and create an account. 
2. Fill in the details asked for under the tab ‘manage NMAT profile.
3. Verify your email to authenticate your account. 
4. Login with the credentials and click on the dashboard. 
5. Complete the application on the dashboard and add photo identity proof.
6. Select the schools for which you want to receive your scores. You can select up to five programs.
7. Pay the registration fees. They accept Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Internet Banking, Debit, and Credit Cards.

Schedule NMAT Exam

After you are done with the registration, schedule the exam from the dashboard. This can be done by following the steps below. 

1. Log in to the NMAT candidate dashboard using your credentials.
2. Click 'Schedule your Test' and select your preferred test center city. You can choose from over 48 test centers across India.
3. Select the exact test center location, preferred date, and time slot for the exam.
4. Availability is shown for the next 20 days. Book a minimum of 1 day in advance.
5. Make a payment of test center fees if applicable.
6. Your appointment at the selected test center will be confirmed via email.

If you wish to schedule an online proctored test at home for Indian and international students, click ‘Book Exam.’ Fill out the ‘My Profile’ section before you move to the scheduling exam appointment. 

NMAT Exam Selection Process 

Appear for NMAT Exam

Appear for the NMAT exam at the allotted test center on your scheduled date. The exam is 2 hours long, with 108 questions to be solved. Manage your time well and attempt the questions carefully.

Check NMAT Score

After the exam, candidates can check their NMAT scorecard on the official GMAC website. The scorecard contains the sectional and overall scores of the candidate. 

Shortlisting of Candidates

Based on the NMAT score, candidates are shortlisted for the next round of the selection process. The information will be sent to the registered email address if you are selected.

Personal Interview

A personal interview is the second stage of the admission process. It involves a group discussion and a personal interview. 

Final Selection

Finally, the institute will declare the final admission list based on your overall application - NMAT score, academics, and GD/PI performance.

You will be able to retake your exams 3 times 15 days after your exams.

The NMAT has immense flexibility. You can preview the score instantly after you are done with your exam. You can download your scorecard within 48 hours after taking your exam. Your score will say which institutions you are eligible for.
