National University of Singapore fees for undergraduates are SGD 21,400 to SGD 44,450 (INR 16.00 lakh to INR 33.24 lakh) a year for most courses. What you pay depends on your course and on whether you take the Singapore Government’s tuition subsidy. Medicine, Dentistry and Music cost more. The NUS (National University of Singapore) MBA costs SGD 106,849.76 (INR 79.89 lakh) for the full programme.

The subsidy is called the MOE (Ministry of Education) Tuition Grant. For most courses, it lowers undergraduate fees by SGD 11,200 to SGD 18,300 (INR 8.37 lakh to INR 13.68 lakh) a year. If you take it, you have to work in Singapore for 3 years after you graduate. The National University of Singapore tuition fees in this guide are for students joining in 2026-27. They include 9% GST (Goods and Services Tax), and your fee does not change during your degree.

National University of Singapore fees for international students have two rates. Students who take the MOE Tuition Grant pay the subsidised rate. Students who don’t take it pay the full rate every year.

The National University of Singapore fees for Indian students are charged at the “All other international students” rate. This is slightly higher than the ASEAN (Association of Southeast Asian Nations) rate, which is only for students from Southeast Asian countries.

NUS follows a few fee rules for all undergraduates. Here they are:

• Same fee every year: NUS charges fees by batch. The fee you pay in your first year stays the same until you finish, as long as you finish on time.
• Two payments a year: The yearly fee is split into two equal parts. You pay one at the start of each semester.
• New fees every year: NUS releases fees for each new batch between February and April. Students joining in August 2027 will see new fees around that time.
• Extra semesters: If you take longer than the normal course length, you pay part of the full fee at first, and later the whole full fee.

Master’s degrees are different. Most coursework master’s programmes at NUS are self-funded, so the Tuition Grant does not apply. Each programme sets its own fee. This is why the National University of Singapore fees for Indian students at master’s level vary from course to course. National University of Singapore MBA Fees

The National University of Singapore MBA fees for the August 2027 intake are SGD 98,027.30 (INR 73.30 lakh) before GST. With GST, the total is SGD 106,849.76 (INR 79.89 lakh). The 2026 intake paid SGD 99,953 (INR 74.73 lakh), so the fee has gone up by about SGD 6,900 (INR 5.16 lakh).

All three MBA formats have the same National University of Singapore MBA fees. The full-time MBA takes 12 to 17 months. The part-time MBA takes 18, 24 or 30 months and is for people already working in Singapore.

The National University of Singapore MBA fees are paid in parts. This table shows the payment plan for each format:

Some costs are not part of the National University of Singapore MBA fees. Here are the extra costs:

• Application fee: SGD 100 (INR 7,477), paid when you apply.
• Miscellaneous fee: Paid every semester, separate from tuition.
• Tests: You need a GMAT Exam (Graduate Management Admission Test), GRE (Graduate Record Examinations) or EA (Executive Assessment) score. Applicants with 4 or more years of work experience can ask for a waiver.
• English test: You need IELTS (International English Language Testing System) 7.0 or TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language) 100. You can check the IELTS Exam fee before booking.

Scholarships can lower the National University of Singapore MBA fees. Indian students can apply for these:

• Merit awards: The NUS MBA Excellence and Achiever Awards are given to strong full-time applicants. There are also awards for women, entrepreneurs, diversity, resilience and ESG (Environmental, Social and Governance) work. These cover part of the tuition.
• ADB-Japan Scholarship: This is run by the ADB (Asian Development Bank) and pays full tuition and some expenses. India is on the eligible list. Applicants should be 35 or younger and must go back home after the course.
• Experiential Learning Grant: Up to SGD 5,000 (INR 3,73,850) for overseas trips and exchanges during the MBA.

You apply for MBA scholarships by ticking a box on the application form. NUS reviews awards on a rolling basis, so early applicants have more chances. For the ADB-Japan Scholarship, you have to apply by the Round 2 deadline, 20 January 2027.

The National University of Singapore MBA fees are the same in every round. The full-time deadlines for August 2027 are 29 October 2026, 20 January 2027 and 31 March 2027. Loans from Singapore banks are only for citizens and permanent residents. Most Indian students pay the National University of Singapore MBA fees with an education loan from India.

Ministry of Education (MOE) Tuition Grant for Indian Students at NUS

The MOE Tuition Grant is a Singapore Government subsidy. It lowers National University of Singapore fees for international students in full-time undergraduate courses. Indian students can get it, but they have to apply. In return, they must work for a Singapore company or organisation for 3 years after graduating.

The grant makes the biggest difference to the National University of Singapore fees for Indian students, because it lowers the National University of Singapore tuition fees you pay every year. This table shows the yearly saving in some popular courses:

Here are the main rules of the grant:

• Signing the form: If you’re offered the grant and accept it, you sign the form on the MOE portal in September (Semester 1) or February (Semester 2).
• Late signing: If you don’t sign on time, NUS charges you the full fee.
• No bond means full fees: If you don’t want to work in Singapore after graduating, you pay the full fee for the whole degree.
• Medicine and Dentistry: International students in these courses sign a longer bond with Singapore’s Ministry of Health. It is 6 years for Medicine and 5 years for Dentistry.
• Only for undergraduates: Self-funded master’s courses don’t get the grant. The National University of Singapore MBA fees are the same for everyone.

Cost of Living at NUS for Indian Students

NUS estimates that an undergraduate spends about SGD 6,000 (INR 4,48,620) a year, not counting rent. Campus housing costs SGD 4,000 to SGD 10,290 (INR 2,99,080 to INR 7,69,383) a year. So most students need SGD 10,000 to SGD 16,290 (INR 7.48 lakh to INR 12.18 lakh) a year in addition to their National University of Singapore fees. Many families leave this cost out when they plan the National University of Singapore fees for Indian students.

These figures don’t cover holidays. Your actual spending depends on your room and lifestyle. This is the NUS estimate of yearly costs for a student:

NUS Hostel and Accommodation Fees

A double room without AC (air conditioning) in an NUS hall costs SGD 114 (INR 8,524) a week. The most expensive single room in Prince George’s Park Residences costs SGD 294 (INR 21,982) a week. Semester 1 is 18 weeks long and Semester 2 is 17 weeks.

The type of room you pick changes your bill. This table shows the Semester 1 cost for each type of NUS housing for students joining in 2026-27:

Food is not included in the room rent. You have to buy a meal plan separately. Here are the meal plan costs and housing rules:

• Hall meal plan: Breakfast and dinner, 6 days a week. It costs SGD 671 (INR 50,171) in Semester 1 and SGD 621.30 (INR 46,455) in Semester 2.
• Residential college meal plan: SGD 1,147.77 (INR 85,819) in Semester 1 and SGD 1,062.75 (INR 79,462) in Semester 2.
• Master’s students: Research students get first priority for campus rooms, so coursework master’s students usually rent outside campus.

Food and Groceries

NUS sets aside SGD 2,600 (INR 1,94,402) a year for an undergraduate’s meals. This is for a reasonably comfortable lifestyle and doesn’t include holidays. NUS Business School estimates SGD 300 to SGD 800 (INR 22,431 to INR 59,816) a month on meals for master’s students.

Your food cost depends on where you eat. These tips help keep it low:

• Buy a meal plan: It covers breakfast and dinner 6 days a week for students in halls and residential colleges.
• Eat on campus: Campus food courts are usually cheaper than restaurants outside.
• Cook at home: Students who rent outside and cook spend less than those who eat out every day.

Transport, Utilities and Personal Expenses

NUS estimates SGD 800 (INR 59,816) a year for transport and SGD 2,200 (INR 1,64,494) for personal expenses. Books and supplies cost another SGD 400 (INR 29,908). Students living on campus don’t pay utilities separately, because these are included in the hostel fee.

Master’s students who rent outside campus have different costs. NUS Business School gives these monthly estimates:

Other Fees to Consider at NUS

All NUS students pay miscellaneous fees every semester, along with the National University of Singapore tuition fees. International undergraduates joining in 2026-27 pay SGD 255 to SGD 272.50 (INR 19,066 to INR 20,375) a semester. These fees pay for healthcare, the campus shuttle bus, the IT network and student activities.

There are also some one-time charges and penalties on top of the National University of Singapore fees for international students. Here they are:

• Application fee: SGD 20 (INR 1,495) for international students applying with international qualifications. You can pay online by card, AliPay or PayNow.
• Late payment charge: SGD 25 (INR 1,869) if you miss the fee deadline. If fees stay unpaid, NUS can hold back your results and degree.
• Withdrawal: If you leave after Week 2 of a semester, you pay the full fee for that semester.
• Card charges: Singapore-issued cards have a 1% processing fee. From India, you can pay through Flywire or Convera, which are the NUS payment partners for international transfers.

Scholarships and Financial Aid at NUS for Indian Students

Indian students can apply for three NUS undergraduate scholarships that lower the National University of Singapore fees for Indian students. Each one pays your full subsidised tuition. Each also gives a living allowance of SGD 5,800 to SGD 6,000 (INR 4,33,666 to INR 4,48,620) a year. To get any of them, you must take the MOE Tuition Grant. NUS is also among the top providers of fully funded scholarships in Singapore for international students.

Some well-known awards are not open to Indian students. The NUS Global Merit Scholarship and NUS Merit Scholarship are only for Singapore citizens. The ASEAN Undergraduate Scholarship is only for students from ASEAN countries.

These scholarships have conditions. Here are the main ones:

• No separate form: NUS considers you for these when you apply for admission.
• Interviews: Shortlisted students are interviewed between January and July. Results come out by mid-July.
• GPA (Grade Point Average): You need a GPA of 3.5 or more every semester to keep the scholarship.
• Bonds: The Science and Technology Undergraduate Scholarship has a 6-year bond with a Singapore-registered company. The other two only have the 3-year Tuition Grant bond.
• One award only: You can’t hold another scholarship or grant at the same time without NUS approval.
