Admission to the B.Tech program at NIT Patna is a two-step process. First, candidates must qualify for the JEE Main entrance exam. Following this, they must participate in the JoSAA (Joint Seat Allocation Authority) counseling. The eligibility criteria for B.Tech are as follows: candidates must have passed their 10+2 with a minimum of 75% marks with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics (PCM). NIT Patna has a strong placement record. As per recent reports, the placement percentage is typically high, often exceeding 90%. The highest package offered in recent years has been as high as ₹52 LPA, with the average package for undergraduate students being around ₹13.30 LPA.
