Yes, NIT Kurukshetra provides various scholarships and financial assistance to deserving students. These include Merit-cum-Means Scholarships, SC/ST/OBC Welfare Schemes, Central Sector Scholarships, and special scholarships for female students and those from economically weaker backgrounds. Students are guided by the Dean (Student Welfare) office for eligibility and application procedures.

For B.Tech, NIT Kurukshetra accepts JEE Main scores, with admissions conducted through JoSAA/CSAB counselling. For M.Tech, GATE scores are used via CCMT. MBA admissions are based on CAT/CMAT scores and MCA admissions are through NIMCET. Ph.D. aspirants undergo institute-level written tests and interviews.
NIT Kurukshetra has an active Innovation and Incubation Centre (IIC) that nurtures entrepreneurial initiatives and early-stage startups.
