NIT Calicut Placements 2023-24: Statistics & Highlights

Did You Know? Despite a general hiring slump in sectors like IT, NIT Calicut has maintained a strong placement record for the 2024-2025 season. As of July 2025, 930 students (72% of registered candidates) have secured placements. 

According to the NIRF 2024 rankings, NIT Calicut is placed 25th in engineering, 3rd in architecture and planning, 76th in management, and 54th overall, making it one of India's top technical universities. 

With a remarkable 90.9% placement rate in 2023–2024, the Career Development Center is essential in helping students get in touch with leading businesses. Google, Goldman Sachs, Qualcomm, Salesforce, Cisco, Oracle, and 188 other firms sent recruiters to the campus to offer positions in a variety of industries.  

Strong industry contacts at the institute guarantee that students will have access to top-notch professional prospects. In 2023–24, NIT Calicut saw a high placement rate, with 1080 offers made to 1385 enrolled UG and PG students. The maximum income was ₹50.64 LPA, while the overall placement percentage was 77.97%. With an average pay of ₹12.11 LPA, all branches offered good career potential.

The NIT Calicut Centre for Career Development (CCD) manages the placements procedure using precise, methodical procedures. Every stage, from recruiting recruiters to student onboarding, is planned to guarantee a seamless and effective campus placement experience. 

 The placing process is as follows: 

 1. CCD formally invites recruiters via email.  

2. Recruiters send timetables, eligibility requirements, and job profiles.  

3. After reviewing and completing the timetable, CCD notifies the students of the details. 

 4. Through training sessions, resume screening, and interview selection, students enroll and get ready. 

 5. CCD coordinates final placements and provides ongoing support and placement help.
