IIT Mandi is ranked among the top 10 universities for Innovation in Indian by NIRF Rankings 2024. Founded in 2009, it became an official IIT in 2011. IIT Mandi focuses on innovation, research, and collaboration, with ties to many global universities and companies through signed MoUs for joint development projects.

Placements, Cutoffs and Admissions

The placement season 2023–24 at IIT Mandi was successful as always. A total of 200 B.Tech students got placed, with a median salary of ₹18.5 LPA. IIT Mandi's campus is spread across the South and North campuses, located about 14 km from Mandi town in Himachal Pradesh. The South campus is situated near Kamand village, on the left bank of the Uhl river, while the North campus is along the Kataula Khad (stream), opposite Salgi village.

Hostel 

  • 10 Hostels- 5 At North Campus, 4 Boys, 1 Girls, 5 at South Campus, 3 Boys, 2 Girls.
  • All rooms are equipped with basic furnishings such as a cot and almirahs
  • Every hostel has an excellent Wi-Fi connection and LAN facility available.
