IIT Jodhpur M.Tech Admission 2025

M.Tech. Admission Requirements & Eligibility in IITJ

The admission to IIT Jodhpur M.Tech programs is done through the COAP after the candidate clears GATE. The requirements can differ in accordance with the fourteen departments under which M.Tech is offered; however, general ones are mentioned below.

1. The degrees that are accepted for admission in M.Tech are B.Tech/B.E/B/Sc (engineering), M.Sc. MCA, or equivalent field.

2. The applicants must have a valid GATE score before applying for M.Tech.

3. If a candidate is an IIT B.Tech graduate who has scored 8.0 CGPA, then the GATE scores are not required.

4. An academic record of at least 60 percent marks or 6 CGPA is required for admission in M.Tech.

5. For SC, ST, or PwD students, the eligibility criteria are 55% marks or 5.5 CGPA.
   

GATE Cutoffs for M.Tech Programme

Other departments of IIT Jodhpur have not disclosed the cutoff score for GATE-based M.Tech admission for the July 2025 session. Only the CSE/AI department of IITJ has provided the GATE cutoff score officially on their website, which is given below.

Other PG Course Admission Requirement & Eligibility

IITJ provides admission in several other postgraduate programs, like the Master of Science by Research, Master of Design, M.Sc., Medical Technologies Master's Degree, and Diploma courses. Refer to the points below to understand the requirements for admission.

1. M.Sc.- The M.Sc. program uses IIT JAM results to select candidates through centralized counseling. The candidate should also have maths at the 10+2 level.

2. M.S. by Research: The admission requirement is similar to the M.Sc. program and departmental criteria, like a sufficient CPI ≥8.0.

3. Executive Programs: A minimum of 60% marks or 6 CGPA is required in B.Tech or any relevant field with a minimum of 2 years of work experience.

4. Integrated Teacher Education Programme: An applicant should get 60% marks at the XII level with Physics, Chemistry, and Maths as mandatory subjects, alongside should have appeared in NCET.

IIT Jodhpur MBA Admission Requirement & Eligibility 2025

The admission to the MBA is done through the scores of the CAT. The following are the important criteria for the IITJ admission in MBA: 

• A candidate should be a graduate in any discipline from a recognized University.

• To get admission in the IIT Jodhpur MBA course, a minimum of 60% or 6 CGPA is required (for the reserved category-55% marks). 

• With a valid  Common Admission Test (CAT) score candidate is eligible to apply for an MBA program. 

• Work experience is not mandatory, but preference is given to  ≥2 years of experience while shortlisting.
