A year-long placement process, including pre-placement interviews conducted through the official portal, which is organized by IIT BHU's Training & Placement Cell and starts in the final week of July and ends in March. In order to coordinate and schedule recruiters, the TPC works closely with designated representatives from each undergraduate and postgraduate engineering stream. 

This process is student-driven. Officially, the Placement Office handles all correspondence about job offers, interview schedules, and candidate selection. Nearly 200 companies visit the campus to conduct campus interviews, and the Office engages with a wide range of industries across the nation.

IIT BHU Placement Timeline & Procedure

The Training & Placement Cell (TPC) at IIT BHU has a well-defined, semester-by-semester placement schedule that usually starts with summer internship coordination and ends with full-time placements by winter.

Placement Procedure:

All students are guaranteed fairness and transparency through IIT BHU's well-organized placement process, which is overseen by its Training & Placement Cell (TPC). The procedure is intended to expedite student applications, business communications, and final offers.

  1. Registering and Submitting a Profile
  • At the beginning of the school year, students sign up on the official placement portal.
  • They verify their eligibility for campus placements and submit their academic records and resumes.
  1. Registration of the Company and Posting of Jobs
  • Recruiters provide TPC with information about job profiles, eligibility, and pay.
  • Interview times are distributed to companies according to a priority matrix that is determined by the job package and profile.
  1. Shortlisting and Application
  • There is a cap on how many companies students can apply to in each phase (e.g., max 50 in Phase 1).
  • Employers use pre-placement interviews, tests, or resumes to shortlist applicants.
  1. Pre-placement presentations (PPTs)
  • Presentations are used by businesses to outline expectations, career development, and roles.
  • Prior to their final interviews, students receive clarification on job profiles.
  1. Selection and Interviews
  • The TPC oversees several rounds of interviews, including technical and HR rounds.
