Admissions for the B.Tech program at IIIT Dharwad are based on a candidate's JEE Main rank, followed by the JoSAA/CSAB counseling process. To be eligible, candidates must have passed their 10+2 board examination with a minimum of 75% marks for the general category (or be in the top 20 percentile of their respective board). A 10% relaxation is given to SC, ST, and PwD candidates, who need a minimum of 65%. 

IIIT Dharwad offers a range of academic programs, including B.Tech, M.Tech (Research), and Ph.D. The B.Tech specializations include Computer Science and Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, and Data Science and Artificial Intelligence. According to recent placement reports, IIIT Dharwad has seen an increase in placement packages. The highest package recorded was INR 78.12 LPA, with the average package standing at INR 12 LPA. The median package was INR 9.34 LPA. Approximately 82% of the students were placed. Top recruiters include major companies like Amazon, Atlassian, Deloitte, Accenture, and Infosys. 

The faculty at IIIT Dharwad is highly qualified, with most members holding Ph.D. degrees from reputable institutions.
