The school celebrated its rebirth in 1925 as Northern Arizona State Teachers College, a four-year university that was authorized to award bachelor's degrees in education.
NASTC changed its name to Arizona State Teachers College [ASTC] at Flagstaff on July 1, 1929. Arizona State College saw extraordinary expansion in the 1950s. In addition to master's degrees in the arts and sciences, students might also become education specialists.
