As one of the top-tier technical institutes in India, National Institute of Technology (NIT) Raipur features regularly in NIRF rankings and has received accolades due to its academic excellence and relevance to industry. Placement cells are significant to connecting students with organizations touted as the best across sectors such as engineering, information technology, consulting, core industries, and new technology. Each year at placement time, we witness a number of large recruiters like TCS, Infosys, Wipro, Capgemini, L&T, Deloitte, etc. on campus to provide students with multiple roles.

At the same time, with the recruitment of students, alumni networks with global companies advocate more industry collaborations, mentorship and opportunities for new graduates. The placement drive for 2025 focussed on every level of opportunity, not only placements but career placement where individual organisations want to employ skilled talent instead of hourly workers for direct employment. With such strong working relationships with industry and connected alumni, NIT Raipur is continuing to build off and enhance its placement ecosystem.

The 2024–25 placement season was a good one for NIT Raipur with 786 overall offers made to the UG and PG students. Including 135 recruiters visiting campus this session, even a highest package of ₹60 LPA, is indicative of NIT Raipur’s growing connections to industry and available options for careers.

NIT Raipur values transparency and accessibility within the processes of placement, so it adheres to a wide and rigorous placement process. The primary objective of placement at NIT Raipur is to facilitate the opportunity for employment for students (from an organization), and each point within the workflow emphasizes strong principles of fairness, fairly shaped around an efficient process.

Each company offering jobs must happen under "One equitable opportunity One Job" policy in which we promise that we will provide an equitable opportunity to all of our graduates if they choose to participate.

Placement Workflow:

1. The Placement Cell sends out the company's Job/Internship Announcement Form (JAF/IRF) from which we collect finalized forms with information about the role and roles process.

2. Roles are then communicated via a brochure to the students who provide an intent of registration. The company then receives the resumes of shortlisted students.

3. If we have mutually agreed on the process, the on-campus drive will commence with a pre-placement talk followed by the assessments.

4. The result of the final point in the process will be shared the same day or on the next day, with support from the Placement Cell every step along the way.
