In the 2024 placement drive, recruiters such as Google, Amazon, Oracle, Tata Steel and L&T offered roles in core, IT and analytics sectors. The highest domestic CTC offered ₹64 LPA per annum, while several international offers showcased global recognition. The institute also has notable alumni like Ankit Pradhan (Software Engineer, Google) and Pratik Nayak (Data Scientist, Amazon), who reflect the success and global reach of IIT Bhubaneswar.

IIT Bhubaneswar saw a strong placement in 2024 with participation from the top reputed recruiters. The highest package offered was ₹64 LPA. The institute’s B.Tech and M.Tech placement drives are ongoing, with good results across branches and multiple international offers. 

Key Highlights:

• From UG (B.Tech), the total number of students registered was 309, and 280 participated in the placement drive.
• 85% undergraduates achieved placement. 
• M.Tech placement reached 75%.
• The top Public Sector Undertakings (PSUs) such as Bharat Electronics Limited (BEL), Engineering India Limited (EIL), Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited (BPCL), Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited (HPCL) have participated in the placement drive. 
• Multi-National Companies (MNCs) such as Google, Microsoft, Reliance Industries Ltd, Flipkart, DE Shaw, Oracle, Accenture Japan, Jaguar Land Rover, Analoge Devices, Zomato, Maruti Suzuki and many have participated in placement.

IIT Bhubaneswar follows a structured placement process, which is managed by the Career Development Cell (CDC). Students do the registration on the placement portal, and submit their resume to the interested company and to the final selection. Every step is to ensure both students and recruiters have with pre-placement talk, an interview, and result announcements.
