About the University of Naples Parthenope

The University of Naples Parthenope was originally established in 1919 to research and study economic issues and other factors affected by oceans and seas. The university began with just two faculties-Faculty of Economics and the Faculty of Nautical Science. 

Later, in 1999, the existing faculties were reorganized to create three new faculties focusing on other fields- the Faculty of Law, the Faculty of Engineering, and the Faculty of Sports Sciences. Currently, the university has approximately 16,000 students enrolled in the university's various programs. 

Most courses at the institution are taught in Italian, with a few exceptions, which are taught in both Italian and English or just English.

The building has a capacity of accommodating 180 students, with 12 reserved for students with disabilities. The university offers on-site facilities like a gym, canteen, meeting room, and TV room for students to spend their time comfortably when not attending classes. 

The university’s main library is located in the Palazzina Spagnola building. Students studying at the University of Naples Parthenope do not have to go out of campus for meals as the university has several canteens located throughout the campus.
