NMAT Registration: Eligibility Criteria 2025

Before starting the NMAT registration process for 2025 it is very important for the candidates to check the eligibility criteria for NMAT 2025 that has been given by GMAC, which is a conducting body for NMAT.

NMAT may not be very stringent with eligibility criteria, however, final admission will depend upon the eligibility criteria of the participating institutions. Here are general eligibility criteria:

1. Education

  • The candidate must be a graduate in any discipline from a recognized university or institution.
  • Most of the participating business schools require a minimum of 50% aggregate marks, but this can vary from one institute to the other.

2. Final Year

  • Candidates appearing for the final year of Graduation or awaited result are also eligible to apply but must provide proof of graduation as proof of eligibility before the date given by the institute applied to.

3. Age Limit

  • NMAT has not specified any age limit for 2025 applications.

4. Work Experience (if applicable)

  • Work-experience is not compulsory. But candidates with industry experience may garner a slight preference when multiple candidates with comparable scores are selected by the NMAT participating institutes.

5. Attempts

  • Each candidate is allowed to take NMAT a maximum of three times in a given testing cycle - first attempt and then the retake, with a mandatory 15-day gap between each try.

Keep in mind: GMAC does not impose standard eligibility requirements apart from test access. It's important to establish the eligibility criteria of the MBA program or B-school you'd like to apply to via NMAT. Each institute may request further calibers, such as, but not limited to, academics and/or work experience.
