IIT Bombay Placement Highlights 2023-24

IIT Bombay placement drive 2023-24 witnessed success with 1,475 students placed. The process was a hybrid model; the placement activities started in July 2023 and were completed on July 7th, 2024. 

The companies registered for the placement drives were 543, 388 participated, and 364 companies made offers. Notably, 22 students secured a package above ₹1 crore per annum. IIT Bombay saw a 12% increase in recruiting companies, which reflects industry reputation.

Placement Process

The placement process at IIT Bombay is structured for students with top recruiters. It begins with students' registration, followed by the creation and verification of resumes. The process moves to the company presentations, online tests, group discussions, and interviews.

Key Steps in the Placement Process:

  • Students Registration: Final year students' registration on the students' portal. 
  • Resume Submission: Students upload their resumes on the portal for shortlisting.
  • Company Presentation: Recruiters present job roles and company policy.
  • Preliminary Screening: Include aptitude tests, coding tests.
  • Group Discussion (GD): Shortlisted candidates participate in GDs to evaluate communication and analytical skills.
