Baba Saheb Ambedkar Open University, famously known as BAOU, is located in Ahmedabad, Gujarat, and was established in 1994. It is a pubic open university that was legitimized by the Gujarat State Legislature alongside recognized by UGC and  Distance Education Bureau (DEB).  

The university has been ranked 3 by NIRF among the open university category, along with NAAC accreditation of A++. The admission in BAOU takes place twice a year for most of the courses it offers. The admission process is conducted through an online mode for most of the programs. The standard way of admission for UG programs is through merit except for the B.Ed course, where the minimum marks required to qualify for admission are 40%.

2. Click on the “Admission” section on the homepage.
3. Select “Apply Online Admission” on the admission page.
4. Read the instructions given and register for the course you are applying for.
5. Fill out the online application form.
6. Upload the required documents and pay the registration fee.
7. Submit the form and download the acknowledgement.
