Malaviya National Institute of Technology, MNIT Jaipur, was established in 1963 by the Governments of India and Rajasthan. It moved to its current location in Jaipur in 1965. The campus is 125 hectares of green land.

MNIT Jaipur is ranked in the 43rd position among the top engineering colleges in India. On August 15, 2007, the college became a Centre of Excellence. It is managed by the NIT Council. The Institute has fourteen departments, catering to various streams such as Architecture, Engineering, Management Studies, Humanities and Social Sciences, and many more. It also has six research centres that focus on areas offering nine undergraduate programs and 29 postgraduate programs.

The T&P cell of MNIT Jaipur works with top companies to create internship and training programs for students. Many companies visit the campus to interview students, with around 200 coming each year. These companies include those in engineering, IT services, manufacturing, consulting, finance, management, and research. Campus, Hostel & Student Life

Location: Jaipur, Rajasthan

The campus of the Institute is spread over an area of 317 Acres. The teaching buildings are conveniently located close to both the hostels and staff quarters, making them easy to walk to. There are an ICICI and an SBI bank on site, along with a post office. A fully equipped medical clinic. The institute also offers part-time homoeopathic and Ayurvedic doctors on campus. There are canteen buildings, one near the teaching area and another near the hostels, providing food and services for students and staff during and after school hours. The campus is divided into three main parts:

- Staff living areas

  • There are 14 Hostels in Total, out of which 3 are for Ladies and 11 are for Men.
  • The current accommodation capacity is 3058 for men, and 1509 for Ladies.
