IIT Madras has established a new Career Pathway Centre to guide students to better opportunities in their careers. The cell includes the Placement and Internships Cell, Career Development Cell, and Entrepreneurship Cell of IIT Madras.

IIT Madras also conducts a dedicated placement drive for PWD students, with recruiters such as JP Morgan, Applied Materials, Airbus, Ohmium, and GKN Aerospace. In 2023-24, over 15 companies recruited and provided career guidance to the students.
