What Are the Admission Requirements & Eligibility For B.Tech?

The JEE Advanced exam is the standard admission route for B.Tech courses at IIT Dharwad, given that IITs are governed by the Joint Admission Board (JAB). Students need to qualify in JEE Main to be considered for JEE Advanced, and they must have a valid ranking in JEE Advanced.

Eligibility Criteria:

1. Students must complete Class 12 by passing Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics (PCM)

2. Students need to pass JEE Main before qualifying for JEE Advanced

3. Students should achieve the minimum aggregate marks according to category norms

4. Students must meet the age restrictions established by the JEE authorities

For MTech, Admission Dates:

PhD Admission Requirement & Eligibility: 

The PhD programs at IIT Dharwad exist in many departments. The selection process at IIT Dharwad requires candidates to pass either a written examination followed by an interview or both assessment methods.

Eligibility Criteria:

• A candidate must hold a Master's degree (M.Tech/M.E/MBA/MSc/MS) that achieves a minimum score of 60% or CGPA 6.0 (55% for SC/ST/PwD)

• OR B.Tech/BE/BS (with CGPA ≥ 8.0 from IITs)

• The candidate must have a valid score in GATE / UGC-NET / CSIR / JRF / DST / or departmental written test

To gain a successful IIT Dharwad Admission in 2025 in any of the courses offered, 

The following steps are mandatory : 

1. Register for relevant entrance exams (JEE, GATE, etc.)
2. Appear for the entrance test
