Ram B. Ramachandran is a Professor and Vice Dean at the Jindal School of Banking & Finance, O.P. Jindal Global University. He is also the Director of the Centre for Online Education (CoE) at JSBF. Prof. Ramachandran teaches in the areas of emerging technologies like FinTech/Blockchain and Artificial Intelligence, management, leadership, and entrepreneurship. His current research interest includes transformative nature of AI and FinTech across industries, government policies on education, and impact of EdTech in educational pedagogy. Ram is an accomplished hands-on senior executive with over thirty-five year’s track record of building and leading global consulting practices and high-growth businesses across the financial services and retail industries. Most recently, he was the Managing Director at Ernst & Young, New York responsible for driving Data & Analytics, Robotics Process Automation, and IoT solutions for his clients. His articles have been published in reputed International and Indian industry magazines. He is on the editorial board on three journals – Journal of Business Analytics and Data Visualization, Journal of Internet Banking and Risk Management, and Journal of Micro and Small Business Management. He holds an MBA from Leonard N. Stern School of Business, New York, Bachelor of Engineering from University of Madras, and certificate in FinTech from MIT. He is currently pursuing his Ph.D. from International School of Management, Paris.
Prof (Dr.) Hemant Manuj is Professor and Executive Dean at Jindal School of Banking & Finance, O.P. Jindal Global (Institution of Eminence Deemed to be University). He is a B.Tech. from IIT (ISM) Dhanbad and a Fellow in Management (Finance & Control) from Indian Institute of Management Calcutta. He is also an Associate of the Institute of Cost & Works Accountants of India and a certified Financial Risk Manager (FRM) from Global Association of Risk Professionals (GARP). He teaches and researches in the areas of Corporate Finance, Portfolio Management, and Risk Management. He has publications in several research papers, and case studies in academic journals and opinion articles in business newspapers and magazines. Prior to joining JGU, Prof Manuj was Associate Professor and Chairperson of the Department of Finance & Economics at S P Jain Institute of Management & Research (SPJIMR). Before shifting to the academic world, he worked for 25 years across multiple leading financial institutions and held leadership roles across multiple functions. His areas of work included securities regulation, fund management, risk management, loan portfolio management, stressed assets prediction and resolution, and regulatory planning and reporting. He was a key member of the team that set up the Foreign Institutional Investors (FII) desk at the Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI), at the dawn of liberalisation of the Indian capital markets in the early 1990’s. He later served as the Investment Strategist at Cholamandalam Cazenove Mutual Fund, which was a joint venture between the Murugappa group of India and Cazenove Partners of U.K. For most part of his corporate career, he served as the Head of Market Risk, Asset Liability Management, and Portfolio Management at IDFC Ltd. He was instrumental in establishing and running these key functions for over a decade. He last served as the Head of the Early Warning Signals (EWS) and Risk Regulatory Planning & Reporting functions at IDFC Bank. He was amongst the earliest bankers in India to have developed and worked on the framework for identifying and managing early warning signals (EWS) of potential distress across all business segments of the Bank. While at IDFC Ltd, and IDFC Bank, he played a significant role in establishing the policies, processes, reporting, and governance structures for their risk management practices. Dr. Manuj has served on, as well as advised, multiple regulatory bodies like SEBI and Insolvency and Bankruptcy Board of India (IBBI). He continues to regularly engage with leading stock exchanges, and financial institutions in India as an independent director, consultant, and subject matter expert.
Prof. Tarun Dhingra is Professor & Vice Dean at Jindal School of Banking & Finance (JSBF) at O.P. Jindal Global University (Institution of Eminence, Ministry of Education Govt. of India). As ardent student of Strategic Management, Prof. Tarun Dhingra possesses approximately 26 years of multifaceted experience in the fields of higher education teaching, research, and administration, encompassing a tenure of three years within the corporate sector. His professional journey has traversed esteemed top ranked institutions such as Jaipuria institute of Management, Noida, School of Business (SoB) at UPES, Dehradun etc. Prof. Tarun Dhingra completed his doctorate as prestigious ICSSR doctoral fellow at MNNIT, Prayagraj. Prior to JSBF, Prof. Tarun Dhingra held the esteemed positions of Dean- Academics and Professor of Strategic Management, additionally serving as the Pan Area Chair for General Management and Strategy at Jaipuria institute of Management, Noida . In this capacity, his office was responsible for academic planning, delivery, and monitoring for maintaining academic rigour. For over two decades, he has taught Strategic management, Strategist toolkit for business problem solving, Merger & Acquisition strategies, Economics of Strategy, Managing Strategic Transformation & Strategic Analysis and Globalisation. He has also taught at XLRI (Jhajjar campus), Fore school of management (New Delhi), L. M. Thapar University, Patiala and GLA university, Mathura as visiting professor. He has also taught Introduction to Philosophy as Liberal art course to MBA students. Prof., Dhingra has driven his PG and doctoral courses using multi-method approach, which includes primarily selected relevant cases & live projects. This multi-method approach helped learners understand the fundamentals and help them examine complex situations with relevant organisation theories and solve problems with framework/models and tools. During his tenure at UPES, Dehradun, he held the position of Professor of Strategic Management within the School of Business (SoB), while also taking on the role of Associate Dean- Research for approximately 6 years. This period involved the stewardship of a faculty complement of ninety individuals, furthering the cause of funded and non-funded research. He also headed Department of Strategic Management for six years. Throughout his career, Prof. Tarun has been deeply involved in pioneering various innovative initiatives, including accreditation processes, curriculum design, course plan enhancements, new course introductions, and the advancement of research activities, both funded and non-funded and IQAC (Internal Quality Assurance Cell). His influence has also been instrumental in achieving various accreditations, including NBA, NAAC, IACBE and AACSB (ongoing) and he has chaired various committees related to teaching, research, accreditation, and student matters. He takes immense pride in supervising eleven doctoral theses that have been successfully awarded under his guidance. He has co-authored more than 80 research articles, book chapters, cases and conference papers, all indexed in WoS/SCOPUS, SSCI, ABS and ABDC (A and A*) databases, often collaborating with more than 34 authors. Notably, He has received “The Best Paper Award” on five separate occasions at prestigious platforms such as international conferences and doctoral colloquiums, including IIM Ahmedabad, IISc, Bangalore, DMS, IIT Roorkee, K J Somaiya Institute of Management Studies and Research, Mumbai, and SCMS, Cochin. Furthermore, Prof. Dhingra has conducted classes in Strategic Management and Research Methodology as part of the Certified Petroleum Manager (CPM) and MBA programs for over 2,200 managers, spanning more than 50 man-days across various energy companies, including OIL, GSEB, IOC, BPCL, and HPCL. He is a known Resource person in UGC refresher courses, FDP, MDP and a Keynote speaker etc. He has conducted numerous FDP as convener and MDP as Programme Director. Currently, He also serves as an advisor for Blockchain For Productivity Forum, reflecting his commitment to the forefront of industry innovation.
Dr. Monika has done her Ph.D. in Finance & Accounting from Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad. She holds a Bachelor’s (Honours), Masters and M.Phil. degrees in Commerce from University of Delhi. Also, she was awarded Junior Research Fellowship in Commerce by University Grant Commission. Monika has more than four years of teaching experience. In her last job she worked as an Assistant Professor at FLAME University. Before joining FPM at IIM-A, she was an Assistant Professor at Hindu College, University of Delhi and Lecturer at Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University (Delhi). Her research papers are presented at national & international conferences. She has submitted one of her research paper for publication and others are in pipeline.
Dr. Amlan Das Gupta is a Development Economist who has been engaged in teaching and research since 2015. He holds a master degree in Quantitative Economics from Indian Statistical Institute Delhi and completed his PhD. in Economics from the University of British Columbia, Vancouver, Canada in 2014. Since then he has taught at various institutions which include Indian Statistical Institute Delhi, Drake University, Des Moines, USA and Institute of Financial Management and Research in India. Amlan’s research interests lie in the fields of Development and Environmental Economics. His work uses quantitative methods and econometric models to answer questions about economic behaviour and policy in the developing world.
Dr. Saurabh Tiwari is an Associate Professor at Jindal School of Banking & Finance (JSBF) at O.P. Jindal Global University (Institution of Eminence, Ministry of Education, Govt. of India). As an ardent student of management, Dr. Saurabh Tiwari possesses approximately 17 years of multifaceted experience in the fields of higher education teaching, research, and administration, encompassing a tenure of three years within the corporate sector. He has been associated with institutions such as the School of Business (SoB) at UPES, Dehradun, and Jaipuria Institute of Management, Lucknow, among others. Throughout his professional journey, he has demonstrated a commitment to excellence, fostering a culture of innovation, and driving growth in various capacities. He has been instrumental in shaping the next generation of professionals, sharing his expertise and insights with students and professionals alike. For over a decade, he has taught, Service Operation, General Management, Quantitative Techniques, Supply Chain, Project Management, Business Mathematics. He has also taught at IMT Nagpur, Jaipuria Institute of Management, Noida, NIFTEM, Sonipat as visiting professor. Throughout his career, Dr. Saurabh Tiwari has been deeply involved in pioneering various innovative initiatives, including curriculum design, course plan enhancements, and new course introductions. His influence has also been instrumental in achieving various accreditations, including NBA, NAAC, and IACBE. He takes immense pride in supervising five doctoral theses that have been successfully awarded under his guidance. He has co-authored more than 30 research articles, book chapters, and conference papers, all indexed in the WoS/SCOPUS, ESCI, and ABDC databases. Furthermore, Dr. Saurabh Tiwari has conducted classes in Operation Management and Supply Chain Management as part of the Certificate Program and MBA programs for over 500 managers, spanning more than 30 man-days across various companies, including HPCL, the Government of Uttarakhand, Mahindra & Mahindra, and Hero Moto Corp.
Dr. Kanchan Sehrawat is an Associate Professor and Assistant Dean (Office of Student Welfare) at Jindal School of Banking & Finance. She has done her Ph.D. from Faculty of Management Studies, University of Delhi, with her research titled “Women and Finance in Contemporary World: Case of Select Indian Cities”. She is UGC-NET qualified and a recipient of the award of Junior Research Fellowship. Prior to her Ph.D., she has taught as an Assistant Professor at Shri Ram College of Commerce (University of Delhi) and Jesus and Mary College (University of Delhi). She has also taught as Guest at the Non-Collegiate Women’s Education Board, University of Delhi. She has publications in ABDC and SCOPUS listed international and national peer-reviewed journals. She has presented her work in conferences organized by IIMs, IITs and other reputed institutes. Her research interests lie in financial wellbeing, financial planning, sustainable investments and gender issues. Kanchan is a national medallist swimmer with over 200 certificates at state and national level. She is a sports enthusiast and a nature lover who likes to travel, talks about sustainable lifestyle and meet new people from different walks of life.
Dr. Saurabh Sharma is an Associate Professor at the Jindal School of Banking and Finance. He holds a PhD in Enterprise Management from Wuhan University of Technology, China, a master’s degree in Convergent Journalism from AJK MCRC, Jamia Millia Islamia, New Delhi, and a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration (BBA). Dr. Sharma is a recipient of the Australia Award Fellowship from the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT), Australia, and was awarded a full scholarship for his PhD by the Government of India and the Chinese Scholarship Council (CSC). Before transitioning to academia, Dr. Sharma accumulated extensive industry experience, working with organizations such as Outlook Business, BIG FM, and a political consultancy. His last industry role was with The Times of India, where he reported on business, finance, and public policy. His investigative reporting on fraudulent multi-level marketing firms prompted the Rajasthan government to enact new regulations, and his coverage of the electrification of uninhabited villages in Rajasthan under the Deen Dayal Upadhyay Gram Jyoti Yojana earned recognition from the Ministry of Power. With over a decade of industry experience, Dr. Sharma has also spent several years in academia, having taught at Bennett University and the Jaipuria Institute of Management, Noida (online management program). He has delivered courses on AI and emerging technologies, data analysis, and business communication. His research focuses on the intersection of technology and consumer behavior, the impact of AI on media technologies, and financial literacy. He has published papers in journals such as the International Journal of Human-Computer Interaction, Information, and Sage Open, and has presented his research at various national and international conferences.
She earned her Ph.D. in Operations Research and Management Science from the Warwick Business School, University of Warwick in the UK. She has an M.Phil. in Management Science from the Warwick Business School, M.Sc. in Applied Operations Research and B.Sc. in Mathematics from Miranda House, University of Delhi. She has previously worked at the Warwick Business School, Evalueserve and IIT Delhi. Her areas of interest are retail supply chain management, inventory and pricing strategies, revenue management, multi-channel networks, dynamic programming, financial optimization, Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA) and resource management. She assisted in various teaching responsibilities of business and finance courses during her doctoral studies. She was also involved in the development of a new course on financial optimisation at the Warwick Business School. At JSBF, she teaches courses in analytics, pricing, global logistics, statistics and spreadsheet modelling. In addition, she founded a mathematics newsletter in University of Delhi and continues to take interest in science communication.
Dr. Narbadeshwar Mishra is an economist with a Ph.D. from IFMR GSB, Krea University, specializing in Development Economics with a focus on education and gender. His research has been featured at numerous esteemed conferences, including those at AYEW 2024, CECEFEE 2024, AEHS VII at Harvard University, ADEW 2023 in Australia, RES & SES 2023 at the University of Glasgow, World Bank Annual Conference, IIM Bangalore, IIT Kanpur, and IGIDR. Dr. Mishra's scholarly contributions have earned him significant accolades, such as the Best Research Paper Award from IIT Jodhpur in 2023 and the Research Excellence Award from ADB-IEA in 2023. His work has also garnered media attention from outlets like The Hindu Business Line, Ideas for India, Her Circle, and Faculti. Additionally, he has worked at the Kings College London at the Dickson Poon School of Law as a Consultant offering his expertise in quantitative research tools for a project. His research interests span Development and Public Policy, Economics of Education, Health Economics, Financial Inclusion, and Labour Economics.
Dr. Bhavya Srivastava is an Assistant Professor in finance at the Jindal School of Banking & Finance, O. P. Jindal Global University. She has earned her doctorate from the Department of Management Studies at the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Delhi. Her areas of interest include financial institutions and markets, corporate finance, banking sector competition, banking efficiency, banking regulations, and bank risk management. Her thesis investigates the level of competition as well as the economic consequences of banking sector competition in the BRICS banking sectors. Her work provides new empirical insights at the micro-level into the impact of banking sector competition on both bank stability and efficiency in the BRICS nations, set against the background of developing markets. Furthermore, her interests primarily align to the field of banking regulations and their relevance in promoting stability and efficiency in a competitive market environment. During her Ph.D. journey, she has published numerous research papers in Scopus and ABDC-indexed journals (published by Elsevier and Emerald). She has received several International Travel Grants, the recent being awarded by the ICSSR (Indian Council of Social Science Research) for presenting her work at various international conferences organized by distinguished institutions. She has also provided research support for the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology under the Union Government on a project titled “Enabling investor awareness in rural India through investor awareness program: An assessment & prognosis”. Dr. Rupesh Sharma is an Assistant Professor at the Jindal School of Banking & Finance. He holds a PhD in Finance and Accounting from the prestigious Indian Institute of Management Tiruchirappalli, where his research focused on the sectoral allocation of bank credit in India. He has taught as an Assistant Professor at the Department of Commerce at Shaheed Bhagat Singh Evening College (University of Delhi). His research has been published in ABDC-listed international journals. His research interests include performance and risk management at banks, allocation of bank credit in an economy, financial inclusion and financial literacy. In addition to his teaching and research responsibilities, Rupesh has actively engaged in conference presentations and training experiences, further expanding his knowledge and sharing his insights with the academic community.
Dr. Kewal Singh is an Assistant Professor of Accounting and Finance at the Jindal School of Banking and Finance (JSBF), OP Jindal Global University (JGU), Sonipat, Haryana. He earned his doctorate in infrastructure financing from the Department of Industrial and Management Engineering (IME) – now the Department of Management Sciences (DMS), Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh, India. He completed his B. Com. and M. Com. degrees from Guru Nanak Dev University (GNDU), Amritsar. Dr Singh has also qualified for a Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) awarded by the University Grant Commission (UGC). He has published his research work in international journals. Dr. Singh’s research interests include asset pricing, infrastructure – regulation, policy, financing, and corporate finance.
Dr. Anurag Banerjee has earned his Ph.D. and an M.Phil. in Banking from The University of Calcutta, Kolkata, India. He also has an M.Com. and B.Com. (H) with specialization in Accounting and Finance from the same University. He has served as a Teaching Assistant at IIM Calcutta (2017-2018) and IIM-Visakhapatnam (2021-2022) for their flagship PGP and PGPEX courses in the domain of Accounting and Finance. He also worked as a Research Assistant with Flame University, Pune for a Working Paper Series with the Asian Development Bank Institute, Tokyo, Japan. Before joining the Jindal School of Banking and Finance, he worked as an Assistant Professor in Accounting and Finance at the Delhi School of Business, New Delhi, India. He has papers published in ABDC and Scopus-listed journals and holds a Best Paper Award to his credit. His research interest includes unit-level data analysis and policy implications of the Reserve Bank of India (household wealth and consumer sentiments).
Dr. Hansa is currently working as an Assistant Professor at the Jindal School of Banking & Finance (JSBF). Her teaching expertise lies in accounting and taxation, where she teaches subjects such as Financial Accounting, Cost Accounting, Corporate Law & Auditing, Direct and Indirect Tax. She has previously worked as Head of the department and Assistant Professor, Department of Commerce and Finance, Amity University, Mohali, Punjab. She has also been associated with the Central University of Rajasthan as assistant professor (contractual) and teaching assistant. She completed her PhD from the Department of Commerce at Central University of Rajasthan, Ajmer, where her thesis explored Goods & Services Tax (GST) impact on Consumer Price Index (CPI) and public perception in Inda, utilizing quantitative methods and econometric models. This study recommends a comprehensive package of strategies for increasing tax compliance in India. Her current research area includes - indirect tax, tax compliance behaviour and tax reforms. Before pursuing her PhD, Dr. Hansa completed her B. Com (Hons.) from the Patna Women’s College, Patna University and her M. Com from the Department of Applied Economics & Commerce, Patna University. She qualified for the UGC-NET examination and secured the Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) in Commerce in 2017. She has also qualified UGC-NET in Management in 2019. Dr. Hansa is a life member of esteemed professional bodies, including The Indian Accounting Association (IAA) and The Indian Commerce Association (ICA) and has completed skill development training in GST and related areas. In addition to her academic pursuits, she is enthusiastic about mentoring students and conducting career counselling sessions as a way of personal and professional development as well as societal contribution.
Ibna Bhan is a Lecturer at the Jindal School of Banking & Finance (JSBF), O.P. Jindal Global University, Haryana, India. She is pursuing a doctorate from the Faculty of Management Studies (FMS) at the University of Delhi. She graduated in Economics (Hons) from Dyal Singh College, University of Delhi. She holds a post-graduate degree in Financial Economics from the Gokhale Institute of Politics and Economics, Pune, Maharashtra. In addition to her academic pursuits, she has also earned corporate research experience through her work at one of the Big 4 accounting firms – KPMG. Furthermore, she has published papers in renowned journals in the field of sustainability in finance and management and has presented them at various national and international conferences. Her research interests include corporate governance, stakeholder pressures, and environmental sustainability.
Dr. R Saravanan is an Assistant Professor in Finance and Accounting at the Jindal School of Banking & Finance. He has earned his doctorate degree in Corporate Reporting and Capital Market from Department of Business Administration, National Institute of Technology (NIT), Kurukshetra, Haryana. His doctoral research focus on the impact of IFRS convergence on reporting quality and market microstructure. During his doctoral program, he has presented his research work in leading national conferences including conferences at IIM Ahmedabad, IIM Kozhikode, IIT Roorkee and IIM Visakhapatnam. He also holds a master’s degree in Business Finance and Post Graduate Diploma in Teaching Skills from Pondicherry University. He has previously worked as Academic Associate in Indian School of Business, Hyderabad in the domain of Finance for the PGP and PGP Pro courses. His research interest include, Accounting Standards, Corporate Reporting, Sustainability and Initial Public offering.
Ashaawari Datta Chaudhuri is an advocate who has been practicing in the Delhi High Court and other forums such as DRT, DRAT, IPAB etc since 2017. She has graduated with a BA.LLB (Hons) from School of Law, KIIT University, Bhubaneswar in 2017. She then went on to get an LLM in Intellectual Property Rights and Technology Laws from National University of Singapore (NUS) in 2019. Since then, Ashaawari has worked in a couple of law firms such as M.V.KINI &Co, New Delhi and The Legist, New Delhi, practicing banking and finance laws, and intellectual property rights. She is also the Director at the Centre for Research and Analysis in Finance, Technology and Law( CRAFT AND LAW) at JSBF. She is also Faculty Editor at the JSBF Report. She also handles international collaborations for JSBF students. Her research areas include, intellectual property rights pertaining to entertainment laws, technology and data privacy.
Professor Md. Kashif Ansari has been imparting knowledge to undergraduate and graduate on personal finance for last 8 years with special focus on credit cards and taxation. His research focuses on optimisation of banking products, business models of fintech and taxation policies. He has published several articles in leading business newspapers and portals. He has shared his views on personal finance in many podcasts and interviews by reputed media houses including Mint, Moneycontrol, Kotak Bank and The Ken.
Neha Gupta is a Lecturer at Jindal School of Banking and Finance. She is pursuing PhD in Finance from Department of Management Studies, Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi. Her doctoral research focuses on the value creation mechanisms encompassing financial, innovation, and social performance in cross-border merger acquisitions. Neha brings a wealth of academic and professional expertise to her teaching, with interests spanning corporate finance and mergers and acquisitions. Her corporate experience includes six years at S&P Global Market Intelligence, where she was involved in synthesizing merger & acquisition information, preparing financial valuation models, and building client reports and proposals. She has presented her research at reputable international conferences, including 30th Annual Global Finance Conference 2023, Italy, World Finance Conference 2023, Norway, International Society for Advancement of Financial Economics Conference 2024 (ISAFE-2024), Thailand, and World Finance & Banking Symposium 2024, Abu Dhabi. Neha holds a B.B.A. (Computer Aided Management) and an M.B.A. (Finance) from Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University (GGSIPU), where she graduated as a gold medalist.
