Latest Update - Admissions for the academic session for July 2025- June 2026 have commenced, and students can apply for the same.

The university provides a wide range of programs developed to meet the needs of those who want to study in this way, therefore promoting open distance learning, whilst enhancing student capability to develop from their own experiences as opposed to just relying on their ability in learning through formal education constraints.

Scholarships

TNOU provides scholarships designed to assist students from financially disadvantaged backgrounds. 

  1. Fellowship Schemes

TNOU offers fellowship opportunities to the students for a stipulated period, the student tends to receive an amount of Rs. 7,500/- per month, which is applicable for all disciplines and programmes. 

  1. SC/ST Waiver

TNOU provides a refund of the book cost for the eligible SC/ST candidates admitted in the university. The eligible students should have the following documents for a successful waiver : 

  • ID Card
  • Bank Passbook
  • Community Certificate
  • Income Certificate

  3. Fill out the online application form
  4. Upload documents and pay the registration fee
  5. Submit the form and download the acknowledgement

Note-  Registration Fee: ₹150-300, depending on the program.
