You need 1,500 hours of project work or at least 23 hours of project management education before taking the exam.
A high school diploma or any global equivalent is required to meet the minimum education criteria.
To apply for the certified associate in project management (CAPM) exam, you need either 1,500 hours of project experience or at least 23 hours of project management education. You must also have a high school diploma or an equivalent qualification. Once you meet these requirements, you can apply through PMI’s online portal and follow their application and membership steps for the CAPM certification process. The exam is a 3-hour test with 150 multiple-choice questions.
