The creation of VMOU (Vardhaman Mahaveer Open University) was formed through the merger of two institutes offering correspondence courses, namely Institute of Correspondence Studies and Continuing Education, Jaipur and (College of Correspondence Studies) Udaipur, to emphasise and improve proper coordination among the widely scattered distance education system; and to offer consistent, high-quality education for the residents of the State.
