The UGC-DEB recognises degrees, Diplomas, and Certificates issued by the OSOU. Additionally, other statutory bodies that recognise the university are BCI, NCI, NCTE, AICTE, and MCI.

OSOU Undergraduate & Postgraduate Admissions

OSOU offers a wide range of UG programs through distance learning such as B.A, B.Sc., B.Com, BCA, etc. OSOU also provides PG programs such as M.A., M.Com, M.Sc, MBA, M.Lib.Sc, and more through an open and distance learning mode.

  1. Placement Cell for MBA, B.Ed, and other job-oriented programs. 
  1. Mental Wellness Support and Counselling for students. - The university provides scholarships through their official portal named Odisha State Scholarships Portal, for the students under SC/ST/OBC categories and to help them financially to successfully complete their course. 

The following are the details of the scholarship scheme : 

  • Post Matric Scholarship Scheme

The student shall complete the following eligibility criteria for a successful application for the scholarship : 

  1. Students should belong to the ST/SC/OBC/SEBC/EBC community and should be a permanent resident of Odisha. 
  2. Student should continue their post-matriculation studies in any general/technical course at Govt. recognized institutes. 
  3. Annual family income should not exceed Rs. 2,50,000 /- per month.

  4. Upload documents and pay the registration fee
  5. Submit the form and download the acknowledgement
